Is there a difference in pronouncing the words 'phishing' & 'fishing'?

These days you could see the word 鈥榩hishing鈥?all over internet. Wonder if this word has a different pronunciation from the good old 鈥榝ishing!! If yes, what is it? If not, wouldn't it create some confusion during a conversation? Think about an internet savvy kid having a conversation about phishing to his grand dad who love fishing !!!Is there a difference in pronouncing the words 'phishing' %26amp; 'fishing'?
No, the pronounciation is the same, but the meaning is different.

Well, sort of different. Ole' grandad goes 'fishing' for dinner... while that internet savvy kid hopes some scammer isn't 'phishing' for his identity.
Nope! Theres no difference.

God I hate those phishing scams though. I get a least one a week in my junk e-mail saying I need to re-activate my Paypal account or that I've won $500,000. Actually, I got one today, said I won the UK lottery. :oS

But I don't think it would create any confusion during a conversation as the two words have such different meanings. I challenge you to come up with a sentence where they could get confused! And "God I hate fishing/phishing" does not count! Lol!Is there a difference in pronouncing the words 'phishing' %26amp; 'fishing'?
Phishing is just fishing. As in fishing for a password and getting phished. The Internet savvy kid now would probably have an equally savvy grand pappy.
No difference in pronunciation. Kinda like the word CD, Investment or music. Depends on what generation you are addressing. Is there a difference in pronouncing the words 'phishing' %26amp; 'fishing'?
