To get a complete answer you'll have to write your username and password at the end of your question. What is PHISHING, who should worry about it, what can it do to them?
Phishing is the art of deception. It occurs when an anonymous user masks himself as a trustworthy entity(administrator, bank, company, etc) to steal your information(credit card, passwords, etc). This method of hacking is looked down upon much more than the programming of viruses and malware due to it being nothing but a scam. The anonymous user sends you a link that usually looks equivalent to the login page of the site that he's attempting to steal your info from. You sign into this link just as you would a regular login page, except your info(and even IP address if the phisher is experienced in the field of PHP) goes straight to a text document on the web hosting service that the phisher is using. Phishing sites are created through the web languages of HTML, Javascript, PHP, and sometimes CSS. Phishing can not cause you to obtain a virus unless the phisher encrypts a virus into the fake website. In short, don't sign in to any anonymous links and you'll be fine. One way to test if something's a phisher is by going to the link and clicking the "sign in" button without placing any information in the slots, if an error message doesn't pop up and you're still redirected to either the original site or an "error" page then it was a phisher, however, if their phisher records IPs, they'll have yours if you choose to test it like this but they honestly can't do anything except find where your web service is located, which is usually not anywhere near your home. What is PHISHING, who should worry about it, what can it do to them?
lmao, don't tell her that! its where people mask themselves as trustworthy entities, such as banks or something, to get your personal information(...like usernames and passwords, lol). look it up on wikipedia, if you want more detail.
