PayPal - E-mail today was phishing and clicked on the link?

Hello, I'd like to know what is going to happen and what I can do. I received an email today that stated that I have to pay a bill of $60 via my paypal account and clicked on the link, before realizing that it was actually a phishing email.

What can happen now? What should I do?

How does it work, will they have any of my info?

Any helpful answer is appreciated and thanked for.PayPal - E-mail today was phishing and clicked on the link?
Since you didn't give the phishers your personal information, you're in no danger at all. Just spam that message into the garbage and avoid making this mistake again. Remember PayPal will never send you an email like the one you go. Any information you want to change should be done at their secure website.

Now if you get any more messages like that, send it off to spoof@paypal.com The people will let you know shortly if the message came from them. If the message came from the phishers, do as I told you earlier.

I hope this should ease your concerns a little bit.PayPal - E-mail today was phishing and clicked on the link?
Well, use your brain here. Did you just click on a link, or did you give them some personal information? If you did, you need to take immediate steps to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of identity theft. If you didn't give them your name, address, bank account, credit cards, etc., etc., then forward the email to spoof@paypal.com, or use this link.

As long as you didn't enter "ANY" of your personal information in that website your ok. But what you want to do is forward that phishing email to spoof@paypal.com, clean your computer update your spy-ware and anti-virus software do a complete scan on your computer, then change your ebay and PayPal passwords. Never enter a link from ebay or paypal sent to you via email, paypal emails usually never send links in their emails and they never ask for personal information via email. Always make sure you are always in a legitimate ebay or paypal site by checking if your browser has identified the website first by looking at the websites certificates. Also the ebay toolbar is very helpful cause it automatically identifies ebay and Pay Pal websites when you enter those sites but thats up to you if you want to get that. Good Luck
