What is our government doing to fight phishing and internet scams?

This is a very serious issue. Phishing scams are souless, faceless money criminals, uncatchable and invisible. How can they be caught? Really, can they be caught? What is our government doing to fight phishing and internet scams?
If you keep up with the latest Internet news you would know. The FBI has recently arrested 5 of the biggest of these criminals.

Many of the Phishing Scams are conducted by organized crime orginizations. Some are in the U.S., but most are in other countries. This makes it difficult, but the FBI is doing a great job with them.

The Internet is in the process of major changes. The people and organizations that control the Internet say the changes will do much to stop this garbage. The changes are still several years away, since it requires replacing all the main servers. According to an article I read, the new Internet will be different than what we know today. What is our government doing to fight phishing and internet scams?
My father was going to be the victim of an "Employment Scam" by some bogus company. But he's pretty smart and knows when he's about to be duped by a scumbag.

If you anticipate an internet scam, contact the FBI:

Yes they can catch them, there's always a way for everything. but, what if they give you some benefits? will you catch them? maybe they can scare people a bit more, so they would listen to them. If you want to know more look here http://www.thecorporation.com/

I'll be flamed so, bye.
The government hunts for them but a lot of these scams are not even here in the U.S. Some of the scams are being done in countries we don't have very good relations with.
