How can I protect my Pc from Phishing?

Are there any programs or software that protects from this?

I have Windows Vista and there's a warning box next to the Phishing box under Internet Properties. What does this mean? My Phishing protection box is marked on.How can I protect my Pc from Phishing?
if ur using the internet explorer on vista then ur already protected from phishing web sites (u also have noticed that the option is in on mode) ... those are sites that steals ur private info .. such as credit card numbers passwords and other important stuff ... they look like normal web sites ... but what they do is record what u enter in web sites and report those to the hackers ... so that they can login to ur bank account or other profiles quickly ...How can I protect my Pc from Phishing?
Phishing is also called 'social engineering', it targets the user not the computer. A phishing website is a phony look-alike website that attempts to con the user into entering personal information (passwords, bank account #s etc). The information is then used for illegal purposes.

Phishers will sometimes use a brand that most people have had some experience with at one time or another. I got one in my inbox that had the Bank of America logo. I think there're a lot of people that have had an account with B of A at one time or another. In my case, not since childhood, so it raised my suspicions.

My advice would be not to input any information into any website unless you logged onto it or you've called to check on it's authenticity. The phishing websites are VERY convincing looking.

It's kind of like singles sex, you have to protect yourself every time - even with the brands you recognize.
