Phishing is when you are led to a fake website, such as a fake bank website where someone can get your details when you log on.



Hacking is when someone uses software or some other special device that allows someone to enter a users computer without them knowing (or knowing) to get information.



Phishing and hacking are related in that they both are ways of obtaining info whether it being volountary (input on a website) or involountary (where someone has taken over your system to get what they want)
Phishing is hacking the PERSON.

They got the hackers all wrong, what he is saying is what hackers call cracker, hacking is good, and it is used in everyday things, without hackers we wouldn't have some of the greatest things we have today.

You're being "phished" when you're led to a fake website, for example, after typing the wrong link. Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox both have a anti-phishing feature for user's safety.



You're being hacked when a hacker has somehow gained access to your computer via internet, obtained personal information, and turned your computer into a zombie system that works to serve his/her needs. A Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), an installed firewall program, and a router firewall are good methods of protecting ur comp from these hackers.

to phish is to look, or search and sift, then sometimes take.. it is a part of HACKING!
Phishing could be considered a form of cracking, but it's trapping somebody in, hacking is using exploits to gain access to something you do not normally have access to.

Cracking is getting passwords by testing passwords until you get them, you can either use dictionary entries or a brute force method(aaaa, aaab, aaac, aaad ... bcde, bcdf, ...)



Phishing is like... Putting a bomb in a package that somebody is expecting from amazon.

Phishing :- one kind of virus or spyware that can change the look of your PC's cursor . It can produce unwanted pop-ups that advertise articles related to your browsing history .

It's got everything to do with making you want to buy .... anything !



Hacking :- is deadly ! The purpose is usually for the sake of finding your banking info. or to steal your identity . This is criminal !
